Job Title: Cloud FinOps Engineer

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud FinOps Engineer who has a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure management, financial data analysis, and cost optimization strategies. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and rapidly growing team, in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing costs for cloud infrastructure and supporting the overall FinOps initiative.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

– Develop and implement FinOps strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cloud infrastructure costs

– Work closely with teams to understand their cloud infrastructure usage and identify areas for improvement

– Analyze cloud infrastructure spending and cost allocation, identify trends, and make recommendations for cost optimization

– Work with engineering and development teams to implement solutions that reduce cloud infrastructure costs

– Provide cost-benefit analysis of cloud infrastructure changes, including the use of new technologies or services

– Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track cloud infrastructure spending and cost savings

– Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs, gather feedback, and drive results

– Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to FinOps

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

– 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and FinOps management

– Strong analytical skills and ability to work with financial data

– Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud infrastructure services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)

– Experience with cloud infrastructure cost optimization strategies and tools

– Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

– Understanding of Agile software development methodologies

– Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation tools (Ansible, Chef, etc.)

– Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
