Analyst III Cloud FinOps

Purpose:     

As a Cloud Platform Analyst, you will work to help implement governance on cost management, forecasting, policy management, security compliance and maintaining dashboards by working closely with Cloud engineering and Operation groups.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Cloud governance with the continued development and evolution of the cloud control framework and governance processes, including underlying toolsets
Stay educated on the latest cost optimization strategies and technologies; gather insights and develop new opinions and strategies around cloud optimization and present solutions to leadership
Drive FinOps value by helping customers in understanding their cloud spend based on their business goals and budget, create, maintain month-end and quarter-end reports.
Provide reporting on Azure resources and offer actionable intelligence to right-sizing and optimization efforts.
Provide input and tracking of cloud costs to the of overall financial budgets, forecasts, and actuals
Partner with the product and infrastructure teams to ensure appropriate tagging and alerts strategies are deployed and maintained at scale to manage costs
Partner with the Cloud Enablement team to define and prioritize improvements to our FinOps, cost management, cost governance and reporting capabilities.
Track customers at risk and escalate through the customer escalation process
Partner with the Global team to create effective design, analysis, and remediation of control measures
Provide advice, guidance, and assessment of application of policies, control standards, and procedures
Identify and raise awareness of emerging risks and threats and deficiencies with deployed key controls
Engage with RBS Security to define ADUSA & Ahold Delhaize Global Security Policies on an ongoing basis
Skilled to work with Azure Defender to identify Security Vulnerabilities
Identify Security Vulnerability Mitigation Plans, collaborate with customers to remediate Security Vulnerabilities
Track customer Security Risks and escalate through the customer escalation process
Baseline Azure Security Score for ADUSA Azure and execute plans to show month over month improvement
Produce insightful Security Reports that can be shared with and actioned by Management.
Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
At least 5 years as a Cloud Financial Analyst with deep experience in AWS and AZURE billing
2+ years of experience in Cloud Financial Management with hands-on experience of Azure native and 3rd party cost management tools

Knowledge of financial principles, business analytics, technology controls & governance processes
Experience communicating and presenting financials at the executive level with distilled summaries, self-explanatory graphs, and summary asynchronous emails.
Strong analytical background with an aptitude for understanding technology
Skilled to work with Azure cost management and compliance tools.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Power BI, experience analyzing large datasets
Experience with security compliance programs such as ISO, PCI, HIPPA, is strongly preferred
Experience with Cloud billing and cost management tools and processes
Experience in cost management tactics such as enterprise-wide discount programs and commitment plans (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot, Sustained Use/Committed Use Discounts)
Strong experience applying cost management and rate reduction tactics at scale (e.g. Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot, Right-Sizing, etc.)
Prior experience with FinOps Cloud Optimization Framework, AWS Well-Architected Framework and/or Cloud Adoption Framework
Prior experience driving the maturation of FinOps within a large organization, ability to bridge finance and technology
Define and conduct user training sessions on: How to navigate around in billing portals, how to fix their own cost centers or clean their own tagging, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:  

Appropriate Risk, Audit, IT Security qualifications desirable
