Cloud FinOps Analyst

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud FinOps Analyst with expertise in Azure to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and managing the financial operations of our cloud infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze cloud costs, identify optimization opportunities, and implement cost-saving strategies. Your expertise in Azure will be essential in ensuring efficient and effective cloud resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze cloud resource usage and costs across various Azure services.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to optimize cloud spending.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets related to cloud operations.
  • Generate regular reports and insights on cloud costs, utilization, and performance.
  • Provide recommendations on resource allocation, sizing, and utilization to optimize costs.
  • Stay updated on the latest cloud cost management best practices and industry trends.
  • Assist in developing and refining FinOps frameworks and processes.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Cloud FinOps Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly cost management and optimization.
  • Proficiency in cloud cost analysis and financial management tools (e.g., Azure Cost Management, CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and billing models.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
