Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure – MontyCloud

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure to join our team. The role demands to be responsible for building & managing workloads using cloud native components. These components would be deployed using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) methodologies. Experience in automation using scripts such as python or equivalent is required.

Technical Skills:

• Must be fluent with Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool for automated provisioning and management of Azure resources.
  
• Must be fluent with python for automation.
  
• Should be able to develop and implement scalable, high-availability Azure solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cloud best practices. 
  
• Must be proficient in building and troubleshooting of cloud native services e.g.  Virtual Machines, Storage, Managed Databases, Load Balancers Serverless components, Network services etc…
  
• Well versed with Cloud native design patterns, implementation best practices.
  
• Enforce and maintain security standards across Azure infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory requirements. 
  
• Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans using Azure Site Recovery and other Azure services. 
  
• Implement Azure governance frameworks and manage policies to enforce organizational standards and cost controls. 
  
• Fluent in setup and configuring cloud native monitoring tools.

• Self-starter who is proactive in identifying risks / issues, and contributes to the business in areas outside of their required responsibilities
  
• Knowledge sharing across teams and encourage others to share knowledge
  

Requirements

Must Have

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Equivalent
  
• Overall 6+ years of experience with 4+ years in cloud services company
  
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  
• Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  
• Willingness to work in customer specific time zone
  

Good to have

• New idea contribution and exposure to cloud automation projects
  
• Good to have Certifications in Cloud at the min. of Azure Administrator
  
• Experience in working with product teams
