Position Overview
Join Autodesk as a Senior Cloud Financial Operations Analyst, where you’ll play a critical role in enhancing our FinOps capabilities for internal teams. This position requires a unique blend of FinOps execution, advanced analytics, and product ownership. You will foster a culture of FinOps through accountability and transparency, build self-service options, and leverage automation to deliver insights, recommendations, and optimization strategies across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Responsibilities
Build and enhance FinOps as a service, product community, and culture to empower stakeholders.
- Act as the FinOps Product Owner, overseeing dashboards, reporting, documentation, communications, automation, self-service options, and intake workflows.
- Develop and maintain a FinOps services portal as the go-to entry point for stakeholders to access services, understand usage, and seek assistance.
- Refine the operating model for FinOps as a service, including backlog prioritization, roadmap development, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead a network of FinOps Champions across engineering, finance, and product teams to enhance stakeholder self-sufficiency through structured cadences and shared goals.
- Promote FinOps cultural practices that bolster governance and decision quality across the organization.
Deliver high-impact analytics, dashboards, and optimization strategies.
- Design, maintain, and iterate on dashboards and reporting tools using Apptio Cloudability, Apptio BI, and Turbonomic, ensuring clarity and quality of data.
- Conduct repeatable analyses for detecting anomalies and key cost drivers and communicate actionable insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Establish and uphold reporting standards to enhance trust and consistency among stakeholders.
- Identify and formalize optimization opportunities into automated processes to simplify detection, recommendation, and execution workflows.
- Monitor adoption and outcomes through feedback mechanisms, continuously refining the quality of recommendations.
- Assist cloud service owners with forecasting cloud expenditures, budget tracking, and providing clear variance explanations.
- Work towards improving cloud cost efficiency through negotiations and monitoring realized savings.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering to implement automation and establish guardrails to ensure sustained application of recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst, with experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and delivering stakeholder-centric capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of addressing complex problems and communicating insights.
- Hands-on experience with dashboard tools such as Apptio Cloudability, Apptio BI, and Turbonomic, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of cloud billing systems and comfort working within a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience collaborating with technical teams to drive automation and define measurable outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create technical documentation and compelling narratives for executives.
- Demonstrated customer-focused service mindset, consistently improving documentation and service capabilities.
- Preferred: FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar certifications in AWS, Azure, etc.

Salary Transparency
We provide competitive compensation, showcasing a base salary range between $98,000 and $175,450 for U.S.-based roles, influenced by experience and location. Our total compensation may also include bonuses, commissions, stock options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
