Senior Consultant – FinOps

Profile:

• Architect / advisor for cloud improvements;
• Main activity: Preparation and presentation of monthly reports with cloud governance information, best practices, including financial governance (FinOps) for clients’ C-Level, with forecast, tracking of opportunities, deviations and recommendations.

What you will do in your day to day:

• Responsible for multicloud governance, ensuring best practices according to the well-architected framework;
• Responsible for the financial governance of the multicloud environment, based on FinOps practices;
• Carrying out assessments of cost optimization opportunities using Cloud Economics tools;
• Analysis of re-architecture and re-platforming opportunities for efficient and containerized architectures;
• Monitoring projects and transitions with Engineering teams, to reinforce the FinOps by Design practice;
• Definition of tagging strategy with the client;
• Showback and Chargeback reports;
• Configuring dashboards in FinOps tools;
• Configuration of alert policies to control costs, waste and best practices;
• Participation in cadences with the Cloud Managed Services team to define executions aimed at reducing costs;
• FinOps backlog management.

Differentials (not mandatory):

• AWS Certified Architect Professional;
• IBM Apptio Cloudability or IBM Turbonomic;
• FinOps Practitioner.

Desirable certifications: (at least one of the below, preferably AWS)

• AWS Certified Architect Associate;
• Azure Certified Administrator Associate;
• Google Cloud Engineer Associate;
• OCI Architect Associate.

Desirable experiences

• Completed higher education in IT, Engineering or related areas (MBA will be considered a plus);
• Associate level certification in AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI;
• Knowledge of reference architectures (Layered, monolithic, microservices, event driven, etc.);
• Knowledge of the foundation layer of the Clouds (Landing Zone)
• Experience in supporting or architecting Cloud infrastructure environments;
• Knowledge of the Well-Architected framework;
• Specialized certifications in DevOps will be considered as a differential;
• Experience in financial management/budgeting of technological environments;
• Knowledge of the FinOps Foundation framework;
• Knowledge of Cloud Economics tools (Apptio, Turbonomic, CloudHealth etc);
• Concepts of agile models Scrum, Kanban and DevOps;
• Preparation of executive material and presentations for clients;
• Advanced English;
• Soft Skills;
• Good public speaking skills for executive presentations;
• Organization and management of demands;
• Proactivity in team engagement;
• Story Telling for data demonstration.
