Associate FinOps Analyst

We’re looking for an Associate Analyst to join our growing FinOps team within the Global Streaming Platform division. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver new capabilities for Sky within the fast-growing domain of analysing and optimising Cloud computing expenditure.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the build and maintenance of a rolling 18-month Cloud expenditure forecast for the Comcast group’s strategic streaming propositions (NOW, Peacock, Sky Showtime, Showmax)
• Actively support the FinOps team’s work to identify cost optimisation opportunities and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver them
• Develop a close working relationship with our FinOps SRE team, engaging them to provide engineering insights when required to fulfil our deliverables to Finance or business teams
• Compile and publish monthly reporting of all FinOps metrics relevant to the Global Streaming Platform propositions
• Provide Finance teams with commentary on the reporting we produce and bring together any requests they make for additional context or support
• Supervise all Global Streaming Platform work intake processes and lead any activity with projected impact on Cloud usage, ensuring any incremental expenditure likely to result from the request has been estimated and approved before work begins.

What you’ll bring

• Phenomenal verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to grasp technical concepts and share them with a non-technical audience
• Strong numeracy skills, ideally backed by substantial Microsoft Excel experience
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels
• Awareness of the Cloud computing industry
• Some understanding of the Agile work environment, leading deliverables through epics and user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
