Thanks to a strategic focus on Public Cloud Computing and the establishment of the Cloud Program we have a great opportunity for a Senior Manager, Cloud FinOps. In this role you will be responsible for the cost management of the cloud environment. You will be part of Teva Cloud Program, reporting directly to Cloud Governance Lead. Through this role, you will be able to impact Teva public cloud journey and support the company strategy. This role is highly visible, and you will be working with both IT leadership, IT delivery teams and business.
Job Description
A Senior Manager, Cloud FinOps is responsible for managing an organization’s cloud costs and optimizing cloud spending.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing cloud cost management strategies and best practices to optimize spending and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Monitoring and analyzing cloud costs, identifying cost drivers, and making recommendations for cost optimization
- Establishing and enforcing cloud cost management policies and controls to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and financial goals
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions that meet business needs while minimizing costs
- Managing cloud vendor and service provider relationships to ensure cost-effective service levels and contractual obligations are met
- Establishing and monitoring cloud-related metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and ROI of cloud initiatives
- Identifying and mitigating cloud-related financial risks and issues, and developing and implementing mitigation plans as needed
- Providing guidance and support to other teams on cloud-related financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Developing and maintaining financial models and forecasts to support cloud cost optimization and budgeting
- Staying up-to-date with emerging cloud cost management tools, technologies, and best practices
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, a Senior Manager, Cloud FinOps should have a strong background in cloud computing and financial management. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization. You should also have a deep understanding of cloud governance, risk management, and compliance, as well as the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Finally, you should be able to develop and execute a vision for cloud cost optimization that aligns with business objectives and drives value for the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or any other related field
- At least 2-3 years of experience in financial operations of a Cloud based environment
- At least 7-10 years of experience in financial operations of large organizations
- Excellent knowledge of Cloud technologies as AWS and Azure
- Highly experienced in using Cloud financial software and other financial management tools
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Good knowledge of Pharma industry regulations – advantage
