Cloud Optimisation Lead (f/m/d)

We have an opportunity for a cloud optimisation lead to optimize cloud resource utilization, reduce carbon footprint, cloud resource housekeeping and manage cloud spending. This is a key role that requires proactive collaboration with application teams to ensure efficient & effective cloud cost utilization.

• • You have very good understanding of different azure services cost model (PAYG, reservations etc)
  • You have experience with azure advisor focusing on cost, performance and Operations excellence
  • You have experience creating cloud budgets that reflect the needs & desires of the application teams
  • Review, track & support the reduction of CO2 foot print
  • Optimize resource utilization by activities including identifying & cleaning up the unused resources
  • Reviewing cloud spending & generating return on investment report
  • Governing and leading our 3rd party supplier in delivering those services
  • Enhance and develop the services to add further value to the business in an agile/sprint methodology
  • Provide exceptional Customer Service

Essential:

• Key azure cost & governance concepts (tagging, right sizing, cost management)
• Strong commercial acumen skills to track, monitor and manage cloud costs
• Exceptional analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights
• Previous management experience of 3rd party technical teams
• Highly developed communication, influencing, presentation and reporting skills

Desirable:

• Basic understanding of Azure services
• Experience in creating reports & dashboards in Power Bi
• Experience of working in an extremely fast paced environment
