Cloud FinOps Analyst

Your role is:

-> To define and report on structural cloud optimisation tactics and associated targets, in order to reduce cost;

-> To create optimisation recommendation reports;

-> To develop support tools;

-> To coordinate with platform engineers, value streams, and business stakeholders developing architectural approaches for optimized consumption of cloud services

-> To prepare and present monthly KPI and financial updates;

-> To precisely forecast cloud spending at a granular level and follow performance against budget;

-> To build and own financial/forecasting cost models to evaluate investment decisions.

 

Your skills and experiences:

-> Knowledge of the core Finance & Accounting principles, basic knowledge of the accounting processes (budgeting, accruals, etc.);

-> Awareness and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes;

-> Experience and good understanding of the Google Cloud Platform;

-> Acquaintance with cost optimisation and saving implementations on cloud projects;

-> Familiarity with BigQuery & Looker Studio and other database/visualization tools;

-> Expertise with MS Excel and PowerPoint
