WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are a cloud first company, and are looking for a FinOps Engineer with a background in backend infrastructure and an interest in cloud cost management to ensure that our services and infrastructure are cost-effective and designed/implemented to the highest standards. You will have a mix of public cloud engineering experience paired with experience with data engineering and working in a collaborative environment. You will report to our cloud engineering leadership. This role is hybrid, and presently requires that you are on site three days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architect public cloud environments, improve costs, & use Infrastructure-as-code tools
- Collaborate with FinOps & engineering teams for cloud cost optimization
- Manage multi-cloud cost dashboards with access control
- Enhance codebase & deployment pipeline
- Select correct tools for monitoring, governance, & cost reduction
- Promote FinOps cross-organization culture in Woven with Business Operations Team
WHAT DO WE NEED?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, & 3+ years of equivalent experience
- Proficient in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, Shell, or similar languages
- Experience architecting, deploying, & operating solutions built on AWS/GCP
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, software design, & cloud cost optimization
- Proficient in Amazon Quicksight, AWS Glue, Athena, S3, SQL, & BA toolsets
- Familiarity with data manipulation, transformation, & requirement analysis
- Fluent in English & Japanese (written/spoken)
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Native tools, Kubernetes, containers, & Infrastructure as Code
- Proficient in troubleshooting, incident management, BA tools, & cloud cost optimization tools
- Certifications: AWS DevOps, Solution Architect, GCP, Azure, & FinOps
