Senior Cloud FinOps Associate

We seek a professional Senior Cloud Finance Administrator to join our FinOps team within the Cloud Center of Excellence in Pune, India. This role will be working on identifying cost reduction opportunities at an architectural level, building cost forecasting models, and creating better governance and cost management controls. The FinOps team works closely with other CCoE teams to ensure policies are in place to reduce our cloud costs; and work with managers and ZS Partners to communicate cost reduction proposals. We use a variety of tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth and other AWS native tools.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor spend on AWS across numerous projects at enterprise scale and provide guidance to lower costs;
• Rightsize compute, storage, analytics infrastructure;
• Analyze AWS EC2, EMR, RedShift and RDS spend to identify opportunities for savings plans or reserved instances;
• Monitor expiring AWS Savings plans and RIs and prepare analysis for renewals;
• Help project teams understand their monthly spend and create automated reports to help them monitor their costs;
• Create presentations to help ZS Partners understand their cost triggers and propose solutions to lower costs;
• Mentor and guide less experienced staff in their daily work;
• Utilize and improve documentation for standard processes.
