Senior Manager, Cloud FinOps

Zscaler is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Cloud FinOps. You will serve as a key member of the Product Finance team, leading the efforts in maturing our FinOps processes, lead the implementation of a new cloud financial management tool, driving user adoption and cost savings to efficiently support our scaling business and high growth environment. In this role, you will work cross functionally with Engineering, Finance, IT and the Executive team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a cross-functional Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE)
• Drive implementation of a new Cloud Financial Management tool
• Own Committed Use Discount (CUDs) strategy, balancing cost savings and financial risk
• Develop Cloud usage and spend reporting for internal stakeholders
• Identify and drive right sizing opportunities in conjunction with Engineering
• Establish Cloud unit economics, setting up and tracking targets with Engineering
• Ensure Cloud costs are fully allocated to the appropriate products and teams
• Play a key role in forecasting of Public Cloud spend

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics or Economics
• 10+ years total experience in IT or Finance
• 3+ years specific experience in Cloud FinOps
• Extensive working experience using third party or cloud native cost and usage reporting tools (e.g. Cloud Health, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management)

Preferred Qualifications:

• FinOps Certification
• Public Cloud Provider Certification(s)

Additional Desired Skills:

• Strong presentation skills and ability to influence other teams
• Understanding of financial modeling and gross margins
• Ability to independently work with large data sets
• Innate sense of curiosity and eagerness to improve status quo

The base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 – 185,000 + equity + benefits.
